Sunsets on Ko Lanta, Thailand
For the past two months, I've been living on a beautiful island in the southern part of Thailand called Ko Lanta. I'm on the west coast, so the sun sets into the ocean.
My favorite past-time for the past several weeks has been to go watch the sunset. They are magnificent. And what was perhaps the most surprising - every day, they are completely different. Sometimes they look as taken directly from an artist's sketchbook, sometimes the clouds cover the sun up, but either way, they are almost always spectacular.
I like to just walk on the beach. Watch the clouds. The colors. The warm orange to purple-red gradients. Listen to the sounds of the sea. Take a few deep breaths of the salty air. And just take it all in. It's a spiritual experience, it's hard to describe it. It fills me with such peaceful feeling and helps me clear my mind.
Here are a few of my favorites sunset shots (taken on an iPhone 6S, so the quality isn't nearly as good as from a professional camera):
This is Day 8 of the 14-day blogging challenge.
